Sherrill Compass installation problems - Check List

The MAXIMUM scope of adjustment on each Screw is 360'

IMPORTANT - The FRONT Screw adjusts EAST & WEST

IMPORTANT - The SIDE Screw adjusts NORTH & SOUTH

Reset the Screws to show

FRONT Screw East/West Slot should be looking Front to Back

SIDE Screw North/South Slot should be looking Left to Right

Use Blue Tack to temporarily position the Compass during Set Up

1 - Using a Map, take your car to a Road running North (maps are printed with North to the top)

2 - Adjust North, turn car round and face South, adjust to compromise

3 - Using a Map, take your car to a Road running West

4 - Adjust West, turn car round and face East, adjust to compromise

Switching on Screen Wipers may affect the Compass performance

If the Compass cannot be Set up reasonably well, RE POSITION the Compass away from in-car interference

Repeat 1 - 4 above
